There's something in this face that refuses to soften, not out of hardness but out of honesty. She meets your gaze steadily, roses in her teal hair, wrapped in the softest pink, and yet there is nothing soft about her resolve. She has decided something. She is standing in it.

I think courage rarely looks the way we expect. It doesn't announce itself. It just holds its ground, quietly, while everything around it stays unresolved.
