This painting has been on my own wall for the last few years and is now available to purchase.

New Zealand is full of people who carry heritage that isn't always visible in their face. Blood quantum is a colonial measure, a way of counting belonging in fractions, of deciding who is enough and who is not. This painting doesn't answer that question. It just stands in it, the way she does, quietly and without apology.

She is here. She is of this place. That is enough.
